ABOUT DR. TANNER JAY
Medicine taught me how to recognize and treat disease. My patients taught me to ask a different question.
I’m a board-certified internal medicine physician with additional training in longevity medicine. I created Evermed to offer people the kind of physician-led guidance they deserve—grounded in understanding how the body works.

WHY THIS BECAME PERSONAL
My own health changed the questions I asked
In college, I weighed 300 pounds and was trying to understand how to change my own health. That experience made this work personal long before I became a physician. It showed me that meaningful change begins with understanding—not judgment, shame, or another set of instructions.
Through medical training and years of internal medicine practice, I learned how to recognize and treat disease. I also met many people whose testing was reassuring but who still knew something had changed. I began looking beyond the diagnosis to understand the physiology, patterns, and daily influences shaping how they felt.
That personal and professional journey became the foundation for Evermed: helping people understand their bodies, ask better questions, and make more deliberate decisions about their health.

WHAT CLINICAL PRACTICE REVEALED
When reassuring results did not explain how someone felt
During years of practicing internal medicine and hospital medicine, I repeatedly met people whose testing was reassuring, yet who knew something had changed. They described less steady energy, harder-to-manage hunger, changes in body composition, less restorative sleep, slower recovery, or simply, “I don’t feel like myself.”
Conventional medicine is essential. It diagnoses disease, guides treatment, and provides acute and emergency care when it matters most. Testing is indispensable to that work.
But reassuring results do not always explain a person’s lived experience. That does not make the results less valuable. It means the conversation may need another layer.
Over time, I began asking not only what diagnosis might be present, but what patterns, signals, and interacting systems might be shaping how someone felt.
THE QUESTION THAT CHANGED THE WORK
What is the body responding to?
That question changed how I approached the conversation.
The body is dynamic. It continually adapts to interacting systems and repeated signals—the light you see, the food you eat, the way you move, the sleep you get, the stress you carry, the environment around you, and the time your body has to recover.
A physiology-first framework looks for the larger pattern before deciding what deserves attention. It does not replace diagnosis, testing, or appropriate medical care. It adds another way to understand why someone may feel the way they do—and where thoughtful change might begin.
That is the framework behind Evermed.
WHY EVERMED EXISTS
The goal is understanding you can use
Evermed grew from a conviction: people deserve more than a list of instructions. They deserve an explanation they can understand and use.
Physician guidance matters, but it should also help people become more informed and capable in their daily decisions. I want people to understand their physiology, recognize patterns, ask better questions, and build practices they can return to. That is why education is central to Evermed.
Because physiology is connected, the Evermed Method organizes the work into six progressive phases:
Rhythm
Fuel
Terrain
Form
Signal
State
Each phase offers a place to focus without losing sight of the whole. Together, they provide a practical way to learn, observe, and make more deliberate decisions.
CREDENTIALS & TRUST
Physician-led.
Physiology-first.
My training shapes the questions I ask, the evidence I weigh, and the judgment I bring to both education and medical care.
